PTP's owners and associates are deeply committed to responding to the needs of our local, regional and international communities. Each year, we donate thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours to provide shelter, sustenance, advocacy and education for causes that are important to us and our neighbors.
Forming lasting relationships with nonprofit groups is central to our corporate culture. Ukraine Relief.We enthusiastically support the important work of Emmanuel Baptist Church, which, in partnership with Greene-Hills School, is helping with the relief efforts for Ukraine.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospitalleads the world in understanding, treating and defeating childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. The engine of discovery at St. Jude is powered by some of the most reputable minds in science and medicine, equipped with world-class resources and driven by the shared mission of advancing cures.
Music for Climate Justice.Climate change is fundamentally an issue of human rights and environmental justice that connects the local to the global. "With rising temperatures, human lives—particularly in people of color, low-income, and Indigenous communities—are affected by compromised health, financial burdens, and social and cultural disruptions. Those who are most affected and have the fewest resources to adapt . . .”
Bristol CT Salvation Army.Year-round programs to help families in low-income communities, including disaster relief, emergency shelter, housing, outreach programs, visitation programs, child care services, youth programs, adult rehabilitation centers, and seasonal programs such as toy donations.
Open Hearthprovides food, shelter, and opportunity for men without homes, who are often in recovery from alcohol or drug addiction. Men have access to on-site health care, the opportunity to pursue Adult Basic Education, a GED and college courses, and skills training and placement with local employers. Open Hearth was founded in 1884 and is the oldest continually operating housing program for men on the East Coast. PTP President Linc Thompson has served on the Open Hearth Board of Directors and is currently a Corporator of the organization.
PTP is now certified to manufacture HS4773 studs for Boeing and its suppliers.
